3/30/13: Thank you to Ms. Jenny and Mr. Keith.

Someone told me a story the other day of a little girl that she met in a burn unit in Richmond. The little girl had been in the burn unit for a few months going through the most painful treatments. When she had healed as much as she could in the hospital it was her time to celebrate and go home. To everyone’s shock, the little girl got upset and didn’t want to leave. As bad as the burn unit had to have been, it was the only bed she had ever had to sleep in. There are many stories we at Beds For Kids hear every day. We never know what to expect when people tell us the story behind who we help.
We ask for your gift for Beds For Kids. Your generosity enables us to serve many children in Central Virginia, and help them sleep at night. Financial and material contributions like yours help us distribute beds to children that are in need. For some of these children, this will be the first bed they have ever owned or slept on. Thank you for playing a crucial role in the supply of beds to children in our community. With your support we will continue to work together to help provide beds to children in need
Sincerely, Jenny Jones President

Thank you so much on behalf of the family you helped. I spoke with them this morning and they were thrilled about theirnew beds. Their daughter said that she had never slept on a bed so comfortable. I appreciate your help for this family and all the other families in need.
Thanks again for caring for the kids.

I wanted to say thank you again for all your help. Kloey came home and saw the gifts under the tree and asked me where they came from. I asked her if she remembered the nice lady who gave David his new bed. She said yes. I told her that that lady gave those gifts to open Christmas morning. I think she summed it all up when she said, "mommy is she our fairy godmother?"
